Unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues. The manager was unhelpful regarding the temperature in our room, which was excessively hot due to inadequate ventilation. Despite requests for another key to allow better airflow, the manager insisted it was a matter of saving the environment, dismissing my concerns. Additionally, the restroom lacked basic necessities like soap, which I found quite disappointing.

Had an amazing time with friends! The beach was super chill and usually empty. We explored Andaman Seafood and had some cheap, delicious meals. The hotel staff were friendly, and it felt really welcoming. Don’t miss using the shuttle bus to get into town when you want some nightlife!

The hotel was shutting down for maintenance for two months after our stay, so some areas were a bit worn.

I just spent 8 nights at the Khaolak Orchid in the Orchid Deluxe King Room. The beach was gorgeous, and being so close meant I could walk there anytime. The pool area was nice. I loved lounging there after my morning coffee from the electric kettle in the room. The staff treated me like family, always smiling and greeting me. However, the breakfast options left much to be desired. I often opted for a simple egg breakfast since the food generally lacked flavor. The room was spacious and clean but did have a bit of an old smell, especially in the bathroom. I appreciated the shuttle service into Khao Lak town, making it easy to explore other dining options. One downside was the pool closing at 7 PM. It would have been great to have a longer pool time for evening swims. Overall, a solid place for a quiet getaway with some room for improvement in dining options.
